Suprema images
Check out this gallery of Suprema (sister of Supreme) at the Comic Art Community. Suprema began as Alan Moore’s homage to the Silver Age Supergirl, and was rendered by Rob Liefeld as a pretty, innocent powerhouse.
Suprema has all the powers of her brother, Supreme, which she gained thanks to exposure to the Supremium Man one year on her birthday. (Ethan Crane had already been Supreme for several years when his enemy the Supremium Man showed up and his radiation granted identical powers to his sister Sally Crane.)
In Alex Ross’ designs for the character, Suprema stands 5′10″ tall and quite leggy. She also sports a costume very similar to one worn by Kara Dox, aka “XTC” – the daughter of Supergirl and Braniac-5 in DC’s “Kingdom Come” storyline.
Alex Miranda did the drawing at right and seems to have based this version as much on Power Girl as Supergirl, with her amply feminine curves yet noticeably muscular arms. I think she looks quite dreamy.
Supergirl fan video
Here’s an awesome fan video from the TV series “Smallville”. In the show, “Supergirl” doesn’t really exist – she’s Kara, the cousin of Clark Kent. Unlike in the original comics continuity, Kara is Clark’s older cousin. At the end of season seven, Clark still hadn’t developed the ability to fly, which Kara possesses.
Kara was released from the Phantom Zone at the end of season six, but was returned to it at the end of season seven. She is not scheduled to be a regular character in season eight.
Kara is played by Laura Vandervoort, who as anybody can see is ludicrously gorgeous. Let’s hope she’s back during season nine. She’s way too hot to be stuck in the Phantom Zone.
Super strong girls
We love super heroines, with the frisky bodies and super strength! Yay, supergirls!
